Synopsis: Tokyo is experiencing rain that disrupts everyones every day lives to no end. In the seemingly eternal downpour, a runaway high school boy named Hodaka Morishima lands a job at a small publisher.

Hina Amano, an orphan, also strives to find work to support herself and her younger brother. Their fates intertwine when Hodaka attempts to rescue Hina from shady men, and the pair decide to run away together. Soon Hodaka discovers Hina has a strange ability to bring out the sun whenever she prays for it. Hina soon becomes the "sunshine girl" to help clear the sky for people when they need it the most.

But their power comes with a heavy price...
